Many faculty, staff, and students at the University of Utah are engaged in innovative research related to global change and sustainability. The Global Change and Sustainability Center (GCSC)serves as a hub for linking interdisciplinary research groups across campus, and has identified four theme areas to represent active research initiatives.

Theme areas include:

  • Climate and water
  • Urban systems
  • Natural ecosystems
  • Environmental records

There are many facilities across campus that support interdisciplinary research and student training related to global change, sustainability, and the environment.

The GCSC has research grants available to graduate students pursuing interdisciplinary research related to global change and sustainability.

The GCSC is looking for undergraduate and graduate students to help advance their work.  Find out information about GCSC related research opportunities.
