The Sustainability Resource Center tracks and reports progress toward achieving campus sustainability goals. In addition to telling stories about University of Utah efforts on the Sustainable Utah blog, the Sustainability Resource Center also publishes regular reports.
The Energy and Environmental Stewardship Initiative: 2010 Climate Action Plan is the University of Utah's road map for directing campus sustainability efforts and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The report includes strategies in key areas such as academics, energy, transportation, waste, water, and others.
In 2011, the U began tracking its progress with the STARS national framework, developed by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). The U will resubmit its progress under the more rigorous STARS 2.0 in 2014.
