Edible Campus Gardens Steward

The Edible Campus Gardens (ECG) of the Sustainability Office is seeking a current student with leadership skills and a passion for food issues. This position will work with our team to lead volunteers, implement a four-season organic vegetable garden, and coordinate garden activities. The duties include leading volunteer sessions, maintaining garden spaces, supervising projects, and planning events. Coordinating volunteers is a key responsibility and includes the recruitment, management, and hands-on education of garden volunteers. Sustainability Ambassadors

The Sustainability Office seeks multiple student interns to help promote sustainability and manage programs at the University of Utah. Interns assist the Sustainability Office in its mission through project development and implementation, social media, video, photography, marketing, blog writing, event planning, and campus-centric research and focus groups. Farmers Market Student Manager

The Sustainability Office seeks a student manager for the University of Utah Farmers Market, which takes place on Thursdays the first seven weeks of the fall semester. The Farmers Market connects local food producers and community artisans to campus by hosting an on-campus market each fall. The student market manager will assist staff managers with vendor management, market set up and tear down, grant management, and other programs that make the U of U Farmers Market a go-to destination for the campus community. Sustainability Office Assistant

The Sustainability Office Assistant provides general clerical support for the Sustainability Office and assists with the day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering the phone, scheduling meetings, room reservation, and assisting with event planning for Alta Awards, Earth Day Events, U Farmers Market, U Recycle Day, Green Events, Green Office Certification, Recycling Ambassadors, and other activities as needed.
