Edible Campus Gardens

Our mission is to engage the campus community in ecologically sound and just food systems through garden-based experience, education and research.

The Edible Campus Gardens create a living, learning laboratory environment on campus. During the growing season, we harvest a wide variety of vegetables and greens to donate to the Feed U Pantry. Since 1996, our gardens have been a resource for the campus community to receive fresh produce, conduct research, and facilitate sustainable gardening practices. Discover more about the gardens, volunteer opportunities, academic applications, and ways to stay connected.

Little Free Seed Library

We're building another seed library on campus and we want YOU to design it!

So far, the Seed Library has only one location on campus at the Eccles Health Sciences Library. This year we're expanding! By spring 2024, there will be a new Little Free Seed Library located near the largest Edible Campus Garden so our campus community can have better access to the library.

We are looking for a designer to decorate, design or create the outside of the new library's structure! The chosen artist will be compensated for their work.

Deadline to apply to design the new Little Free Seed Library will be November 5, 2023.
