The University is furthering its aim to be carbon neutral by 2050 by making ride matching and car sharing easier. Zimride by Entperise creates an online network that allows U community members to find rides to campus and other locations, helping to improve air quality, reduce congested traffic, and ease parking hassles. Plus, campus members who are 18 or older can take advantage of the University’s Enterprise CarShare network.
Share the Ride
Zimride by Enterprise is a free online ride-matching service for students, faculty, and staff at the University of Utah. Members of the U community can access Zimride by going to www.zimride.com/utah and logging in with their University ID number. The service provides a variety of ride-matching opportunities, such as establishing a carpool from a specific destination, finding other passengers to share the cost of gas, or finding rides to other cities or destinations (like ski resorts!).
The network is private for the University of Utah, with the option to also post to networks for Utah State and Brigham Young universities.
Log in now at zimride.com/utah with your University ID number to start finding and posting rides.
Share the Car
Help reduce road and parking lot congestion by not bringing your car to campus. Instead, use Enterprise CarShare for quick access to cars on campus and in the community that can be rented hourly. A variety of cars are available to rent 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Go to the University’s Enterprise CarShare site to sign up and see a map of car locations. Open to University community members 18 and older.
