Office for Equity and Diversity
The University’s Office for Equity and Diversity is dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming campus environment. The Office is deeply commiteed to enhacing studtent success, recruiting our future leaders, and engaging with key community members on and off campus.
Earth U: Sustainability & Diversity Mentorship Dinner
The Sustainability Office hosts the annual Earth U: Sustainability & Diversity Mentorship Dinner. The evening revolves around students interacting with mentors because mentorship has the power to transform lives. Multiple campus entities participate in the event’s planning, including the American Indian Resource Center, the LGBT Resource Center, Career Services, and several academic departments.
Food Access Advocacy
The University supports several initiatives that have the shared goal to help students afford healthy food options and to improve food access, including the Feed U Food Pantry, Edible Campus Gardens, and University of Utah Farmers Market, the last of which offers Double Your Dollars—a program that provides a $1-to-$1 dollar match for students and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients to purchase produce and other grocery food items.
