What Goes Around Comes Around
A FREE On-Campus Pop-Up Thrift ShopWhen students move out of their residence halls at the end of the year, they donate gently used items like linens, bathroom and kitchen supplies, clothing and unopened food stuffs. We keep all these items out of landfill by donating food to the Feed U Pantry and redistributing everything else to students in a free pop-up thrift shop at the beginning of the next semester. The program, fondly known as “WGACA,” helps meet students’ basic needs, promotes a circular economy and moves toward a zero waste campus.
If you want to ensure access to these items for the fall semester, please contact the Basic Needs Collective.

This is a one-afternoon opportunity, don't miss it!
In partnership with Facilities Management, Housing and Residential Education, the Sustainability Office hosts this FREE pop-up thrift shop to redistribute the clothing we collected during moveout. Students donated 8,115 lbs of items while moving out of the dorms in Spring 2024. So bring a friend and take what you need: we have jeans, tops, sweatshirts, athletic wear, sweaters, jackets, dresses, and more.
If you would like to ensure access to our limited supply of linens, pillows, books, towels, bathroom and kitchen items, please contact the Basic Needs Collective.

Donations collection periods historically have occurred during move-out weeks for on-campus dorms. Collections mostly take place in Kahlert Village and Peterson Heritage Center.
