Green Office

The Green Office program allows offices and departments to engage employees in the University of Utah's sustainability commitments by evaluating and changing everyday office practices, such as energy used, supplies purchased and more. Throughout the process, the Sustainability Office is available to provide tools, support and guidance. After certification, the department's designated Green Office Educator will regularly receive information and opportunities to take action to share with their team. Offices must renew their certification every few years to include newer employees and ensure ongoing education and involvement that support a more sustainable U. Email greenoffice@utah.edu to renew today!

Three easy steps to complete Green Office certification

STEP 1
Email greenoffice@utah.edu expressing interest in becoming Green Office Certified.
STEP 2
Complete the provided documents and return to greenoffice@utah.edu. Include your team's completed checklist and documentation, your office’s name and number of full-time employees, and your contact information. A Sustainability Office employee will schedule a conversation to review your application.
STEP 3
Join a growing group of Green Office Educators and continue learning about ways to promote sustainability within your workplace and across the U.
