Applied Sustainability Learning Program
Apply Today: Funding for SUST Attribute Courses
The Applied Sustainability Learning Program at the University of Utah enhances sustainability education by funding courses with the Sustainability Course Attribute (SUST). Apply for funding from this program to offer experiential learning opportunities to your students, turning our campus into a living lab where they can tackle real-world sustainability challenges.
Fund Experiential Projects in SUST Courses
Instructors of SUST attribute courses can apply for up to $5,000 to support applied sustainability learning projects. Learn more about obtaining the SUST course attribute here.
The goal is to support the development and implementation of applied sustainability learning in SUST attribute courses, aligning with the university's Climate Action Plan (CAP) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Applied Sustainability Learning Framework
This experiential approach reinforces the university campus as a living lab. By linking academic coursework with campus operations, students gain real-world experience through research and projects that engage the campus and foster community partnerships. This method builds teams that make a tangible impact, embedding sustainability into the fabric of the institution and community. Students develop practical skills and knowledge for careers in sustainability and beyond. Apply today for funding to add an experiential project to your SUST attribute course and help build the sustainability leaders of tomorrow.
