Celebrate initiatives to achieve social equity, economic prosperity, and ecological integrity by participating in the University of Utah’s Earth Week activities. Hosted by the Sustainability Office and ASUU Sustainability Board, with support from other student organizations.

Drawdown Showcase | 11 am.-2 p.m., Union lobby

Learn key solutions for mitigating climate change. Presented by Net Impact.

April 10

Beekeeping Workshop | 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Gould Auditorium, Marriott Library

Learn about the pollinators that help feed the world and take a tour of the campus hive system. Presented by the U of U Beekeepers Association.

April 11

Earth Fest | 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Marriott Library Plaza

Join on- and off-campus groups to celebrate sustainability and get free bike locks from the Campus Police. Plus, test ride e-bikes with U Bike Electric! Presented by the Sustainability Office and ASUU Sustainability Board. (Organizations can request a table using our online form.)

CANCELLED Campus Tree Tour | 2-3 p.m., meet at flagpole in Presidents Circle

Join U arborists to learn about campus trees. Presented by Tree Campus USA.

Wasted” documentary | 6-8 p.m., Post Theatre in Fort Douglas

Anthony Bourdain explores the U.S. food waste crisis. Presented by ASUU and U Dining.

Last Frost Kick-Off | 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Pioneer Garden

Join the Edible Campus Gardens for planting and garden clean up at Pioneer Garden near Pioneer Memorial Theatre! Presented by the Sustainability Office’s Edible Campus Gardens.

Health Systems as Climate Innovators | 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Garden Level Bays, Eccles Library

Light refreshments and rebroadcast of APHA panel for a carbon-positive health care system. Presented by the Green Team at the Eccles Health Sciences Library.

Saturday Service Project  |  9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.)

Volunteer for projects that support environmental sustainability and awareness. Free donuts and pizza for volunteers. Sign up online. Presented by the Bennion Center, with support from Comcast Cares Day.
